What it does

Three things, done properly.

Requests on the days you actually have open.

Anglers pick a trip and the days they could go from your page. Days you've blocked, or already have a trip on, are crossed out. Nothing is held or charged until you confirm it.

Trip prep, and a page for the angler.

Where to meet and how to drive in, when to be there, what to bring, who's coming. The angler gets all of it on one page, and the conversation about the trip lives there too instead of in a text thread.

A recap worth keeping.

Mark spots and log fish on the water, one hand, wet screen. Afterwards the angler gets the day written up under your name — where you fished, what came up, and on what.

A guide nets a walleye over the side of a boat while a client watches from the bow.

Questions

The things guides ask first.

It's free. So how do you make money?

Eventually, from intel subscriptions: anglers subscribe to yours, you keep 80%, and we keep 20%. That isn't built yet, so for now we make nothing. Trips stay yours either way — no commission, no monthly fee, no tier holding a feature back.

Can anglers pay through it?

Not yet. An angler requests a trip, you confirm the day, and money changes hands the way it does now. Every screen and email tells them nothing's booked or charged until you say yes, so nobody thinks they've paid for something they haven't. Deposits online are the next thing we're building.

I already sort trips out by text. Do I have to stop?

No. Add the trip yourself and it gets the same prep, the same angler page and the same recap. If you texted someone the details instead of emailing them, tick that you did and the checklist moves on.

What does an angler see?

Your page: your trips, what they cost, and the waters you fish. After they ask for a trip, a page of their own with where it stands, and once you confirm it, where to meet, when to be there and what to bring.

Do I have to sell intel?

No. Plenty of guides will only ever use the trip side, and that stays free forever. Intel will be there if you want another way to get paid for what you know.

Will my spots end up on the internet?

No. A spot you mark stays inside your service. Outside it, the only person who sees one is the angler on that trip, in their recap, on a private page search engines don't index. We don't put your spots on a lake page, sell them, or show them to any other guide service. The waters you add are public — that's how anglers find you. Where you fish on them isn't.

Won't selling spots hurt my guiding?

It shouldn't, and you set the line. You choose what goes out and what stays yours. Intel doesn't replace a day in the boat — it keeps you in someone's season until they're back out with you.
