Mullet River

A river in Wisconsin

About Mullet River

The Mullet River runs nine miles through Sheboygan County, between Plymouth and Sheboygan Falls, before joining the Sheboygan River. The survey gives it 85 acres of surface and 25 miles of bank.

Six miles are classified as Class II trout water, and the river is on the state's impaired waters list. Smallmouth habitat is classified as nursery and wadable warm water.

No public boat landing is on record. On a river this size, running between two towns, access means bridges, parks and public frontage rather than a ramp.

Trout regulations vary by reach and by season. Check the current DNR rules before fishing it.

Fishing license

Wisconsin sells them online. Buy one from the state. We don’t know whether you need one — that depends on your age, where you live, the water, and what your guide’s own license covers.
