Duncan Creek

A river in Wisconsin

About Duncan Creek

Duncan Creek runs 18 miles through Chippewa County, through Bloomer and Tilden and down to Chippewa Falls. The survey gives it 97 acres of surface and 29 miles of bank.

Fifteen miles are classified as Class I and Class II trout water with an Outstanding Resource Water listing. The creek is also on the state's impaired waters list. Smallmouth habitat is classified across cool, warm and nursery water.

No public boat landing is on record. A trout creek running through two towns is reached from bridges, parks and public frontage, and the classified water is worth mapping before going.

Trout regulations vary by reach and by season. Check the current DNR trout regulations and access maps.

Fishing license

Wisconsin sells them online. Buy one from the state. We don’t know whether you need one — that depends on your age, where you live, the water, and what your guide’s own license covers.
